Arrowhead Country Club

Learning About Arrowhead: The result of a collaborative effort of the design team of Raymond Floyd and Tom Jackson, varying elevations of each of the three nine-hole tracks of the 27-hole Arrowhead Golf Course are just one of the factors that makes it so rewarding to play.

A Short Course along the Intracoastal Waterway

With the designation of South Carolina course of the year among its honors, the course opened in 1994 and features wide tumbling fairways and heavily protected bent grass greens. Named after prominent features of each nine-hole track, The Cypress, The Lakes and The Waterway (laid out along the Intracoastal Waterway), should satisfy the needs of virtually any golfer.

A course that puts a premium on shot and club selection, golfers may be tempted to leave their drivers in the bag on several of the course’s holes, while others like the Waterway’s No. 2 beg for an enormous drive. A 379-yard sharp dogleg to the left sweeping past a pond, it’s nearly impossible to resist the temptation to try the 290-yard shortcut across the water to the green, especially with a good sea breeze at your back.

Other prominent features of the course include rolling fairways and several holes featuring the Intracoastal Waterway. Also notable is the Waterway course’s par-3 No. 3 that plays at 175 yards over water to an island green. A relatively short course with none of the three 18-hole combinations exceeding 6,700 yards, the course features a full-service pro shop, putting green, driving range, and snack bar.
