Wonderfully maintained course in the Carolina pine woodlands

With a major renovation in the past several years that saw it go from a 27-hole layout to its present 18, the course has been rated as one of the Myrtle Beach area’s top 25 places to play, playability that’s enhanced by the absence of condominiums or homes on the course to detract from the golfing experience. Crown Park Golf Club has also been honored as one of the Grand Strand’s best-maintained courses.

A Robbie Byers design, the course plays at 6,477 at its longest and offers four sets of tees to offer a challenging round of golf for players of all skill levels. And its relatively short length makes it particularly popular among women and senior golfers. The course is laid out on rolling terrain cutting through Carolina pine woodlands and features large greens with TifEagle grass. It has a chipping area with a number of sand bunkers, a practice putting green and large driving area. A favorite among locals for its location away from the more crowded Grand Strand courses.
