Waste areas and bunkers guard the greens, and trees line the fairways

Designed by golf course architect Ron Garl, the course plays a tad under 6,900 yards from the back tees. Built on the grounds of a colonial plantation, the Tradition Club features rolling terrain and large landing areas that let big hitters give it their best off the tee. Accuracy and precision shots are required to get onto greens guarded by waste areas and steep bunkers. Meticulously maintained, the course features greens that are fast and true.

Trees lining most holes on both sides lessen the chance you’ll be chasing OB balls all day long. On several of its holes, water carries can’t be avoided. A top-notch course, the same can be said for the facilities from a large clubhouse to a 43,000-square-foot practice green. There’s also a practice bunker, expansive driving range and golf school.
