About Waterway Hills Golf Club (Myrtle Beach, SC)

Talk about a golf course with a view. While you’ll want to make sure you bring the camera along for the views from the Waterway Hills Golf Course, the best view is from the aerial gondolas rising hundreds of feet to take you from the parking lot over the Intracoastal Waterway to play.

Designed by one of the most esteemed golf course architects, Robert Trent Jones, Waterway Hills incorporates many of the features he is known for with classic bunkering, greens that are slightly crowned and strategically placed and ample landing areas.

A 27-hole course that opened in 1975, it’s a short course with the longest 18-hole combination coming in at 6,363 yards. Most of the holes on its three tracks – the Ravine, Lakes, and Oaks – are tree-lined and straight and fairways that are fairly forgiving. Around the greens, there are plenty of bunkers, water hazards, and interesting angles.

Amenities include a complete practice facility with a driving range and putting green, a snack bar and more. And as an added attraction, Myrtle Beach’s famed Restaurant Row is practically next door.
