Originally designed in 1988 by John Simpson, Colonial Charters Golf Club enjoyed more than a decade of success. Architect Rick Robbins was brought in to complete a redesign in 2008. The facility was purchased in 2013 by a new owner, rejuvenated, and reopened in August of that year under its original name, Colonial Charters. Happily, Colonial Charters is a local favorite and played by many visiting golfers and has been reinstated as a course worth playing in the Myrtle Beach area.

This course needs a lot of work. There was a lot of touring throught the housing community. There was little markings of where to go between the 1st and 10 holes.

Not expensive, but multiple bare spots throughout and hard bunkers. Also, not driving range did not make things any better.
