Named for one of the course’s many feathered residents, Eagle Nest Golf Course in Little River is both a golfer and bird watcher’s paradise.
A Gene Hamm design, this 18-hole course opened for play in 1971 and features broad playing areas incorporating hazards supplied by Mother Nature to produce a memorable and affordable round of golf.
With immaculately maintained gently rolling fairways cutting through coastal pines and gently contoured greens, Eagle Nest has a distinctively Pinehurst feel. Beginning with a long straight par 5 to get you limbered up, the course ends with three of the Grand Strand’s most challenging final holes.
The course features a mix of cypress, willow and pine trees and a number of freshwater ponds with a water feature or hazard on the majority of its holes. A well-stocked pro shop is available as is a first-class driving range and large putting green that replicates the greens on the course. Also available are a snack bar and the 19th Hole Lounge.
