Additional details about Founders All-Inclusive Golf Package

A pair of the PGA’s greatest and most respected players and golf’s most prolific designer are just three of the names of the 22 courses of the Founders Golf Rewards Package. There’s South African Gary Player, who designed the Blackmoor course and along with Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer is credited for helping popularize golf from the late 50s to early 70s. His design company has completed more than 325 projects in 35 countries and the Player Foundation he established in 1983 has provided more than $50 million to promote education and health for disadvantaged South African children.

Then there’s Arnold Palmer, who designed or co-designed the three Myrtle Beach national courses. At the top of his game from 1960-1963, Palmer won 29 PGA tournaments including five majors, and in 1967 became the first golfer to reach $1 million in career wins. Last but not least is the Golden Bear, Jack Nicklaus. Nicklaus has designed three courses along the Grand Strand. You can play two of them on this great package, Pawleys Plantation, and the Long Bay Club.

There’s Pine Lakes, opened in 1927 and known as “The Granddaddy,” where Sports Illustrated was born in 1953 when a group of Time-Life executives came to play golf and plan the magazine. There are also courses designed by Dan Maples, Tom Jackson, Ron Garl and Tom Fazio just to name a few. The courses are designed at world-class resorts, courses on the sites of Colonial plantations and more.

The World Tour has replica holes from all around the World. Enjoy playing Augusta National`s "Amen Corner" or the famed 18th at St Andrews. When playing the North End courses, golfers should be sure to bring their appetites. With one restaurant for every 60 of its 1,800 residents, the Seafood Capital of the World is a simply delicious place to golf. Located next to the famed Restaurant Row, Grande Dunes Resort Course is yet another course catering to appetites.
