About Myrtlewood Golf Club - Palmetto Course (Myrtle Beach, SC)

Along with its sister course, Myrtlewood Pine Hills, the Myrtlewood Palmetto Golf Course is one of the Grand Strand’s most popular for a variety of reasons. Its location just off U.S. 17 Bypass and across from Broadway on the Beach is certainly one. But it’s the course’s playability for golfers of all skill levels that is the real drawing card and a reason it’s a popular course for women and seniors.

A player’s course with wide fairways and lots of fairway bunkers, the course’s best and most scenic hole is the par-4 18th that plays right along the Intracoastal Waterway.

The entire hole slopes toward the water, acting as a magnet to tee shots. Also challenging and beautiful is the course’s par-3 17th signature hole that starts from an elevated tee overlooking a creek and ends on a green on the Intracoastal.

Noted for its friendly, helpful staff, the course offers golf instruction from three pros, a putting green, chipping green, driving range and a well-stocked pro shop. It’s also known for special carts for disabled golfers that can even roll across greens without damage.
