About Myrtle Beach National - West Course (Myrtle Beach, SC)

Another challenging course designed by Arnold Palmer, the Myrtle Beach National West Golf Course takes is easy on those playing from the front tees, but for those wanting a challenge, the back tees present a completely different experience.

A par 72, 6,866-yarder, the course cuts through the coastal Carolina pine forest and features a variety of doglegs with fairways bunkers and an assortment of natural hazards in play.

Designed by Palmer in conjunction with Francis Duane, the course opened in 1972 and is largely one forgiving of mistakes with wide fairways and large greens. A public course with a private course feel and amenities include a complete practice facility, lounge, snack bar, pro shop and more.

Poorly maintained. Rough and fairway no difference many holes. Seems like all resources went to Kings North. Traps are mostly dirt. You can see the difference on #10 when a kings north hole runs next to. Wouldn’t recommend.
