While the Wizard Golf Course may be considered the easiest of the three Myrtle Beach courses owned by Mystical Golf courses, that doesn’t mean it’s without its challenges. And most golfers describe it as the most enjoyable of the three – Man O’ War and the Witch being the other two – and one that lets you find your game as you play.

When 800,000 or more cubic yards of dirt moved to create this course, which opened in 1996, it’s no wonder that it’s full of elevation changes. Rock bridges and an outstanding castle clubhouse are two of its many features.

The course has elevated tee boxes and four sets of tees with moderate bunkering in wide fairways. While the course finishes with back-to-back island greens including No. 18, which can’t be described but must be played, water isn’t a big factor on the course. Large and near-perfect greens make even very long putts very manageable. The course is a good choice for less experienced players who will find that there are few forced carries and that most holes give them an escape route. The unique castle clubhouse features a well-stocked pro shop, snack bar and a complete practice facility.
