Golf package · Pawleys Island, SC

Hammock Coast package

Twelve courses on the quiet south end of the Strand, twenty minutes below Myrtle Beach around Pawleys Island, Litchfield and Murrells Inlet. Caledonia and True Blue are both here, along with TPC Myrtle Beach and the Nicklaus marsh course at Pawleys Plantation. Pick the ones you want and we quote the golf, the beds, the tee times and taxes as one price.

  • Any mix of the twelve Hammock Coast courses, two rounds or more
  • Two or more nights at Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort, a short walk from the beach
  • Play two or more courses and the rate per round comes down
  • $100 deposit per golfer holds it, balance due 30 days before you arrive

The coast

Twelve courses between the oaks and the marsh

Live oaks and azaleas at Caledonia, sand and big greens at True Blue, salt marsh at Pawleys Plantation, and the old rice plantation land the rest were built on, with the resort on the beach in the middle of them. A run down the coast on this strip.

Why this one

The best golf on the Strand, without the Strand

The Hammock Coast is the stretch of Georgetown County between Myrtle Beach and Charleston, and three of the highest rated courses on this site are on it. Caledonia, True Blue and TPC Myrtle Beach all sit within a few miles of each other, the traffic thins out south of Murrells Inlet, and the resort is on the beach at Litchfield. A group that wants the big names without the drive in from the north end gets that here.

  1. 01

    Twelve courses, one short drive

Caledonia, True Blue, Pawleys Plantation, Willbrook, Founders Club, Tradition, Litchfield and River Club at Pawleys Island, TPC Myrtle Beach, Wachesaw East and Blackmoor at Murrells Inlet, and Wedgefield at Georgetown. Two Strantz courses, a Nicklaus, a Fazio, a Player and a Dan Maples in the same week.

  2. 02

A resort on the beach with River Club beside it

Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort sits between the marsh and the ocean at Pawleys Island, a short walk from the sand. Condos and resort rooms with a heated indoor pool, outdoor pools and a lazy river, a poolside bar and a restaurant, and River Club a few minutes from the door.

  3. 03

One price, cheaper by the round

Play two or more of the twelve and the rate per round comes down, and afternoon or early week tee times can bring it down again. Send the dates and a head count and the quote comes back as one number per golfer: the rounds, the room, the tee times and the taxes. Nothing waiting for you at the counter and no platform fees.

The courses

Twelve courses. Start with these six.

Two Strantz courses, a tour course, the marsh at Pawleys Plantation and two of the plantation classics, all within about half an hour of the resort. Six to build the trip around, six more below. Ratings are from golfers who played them.

Dan Maples on the site of two Carolina plantations, with the historical markers still out there. Well kept, playable and the lowest slope of the six.

The rest of the coast

Any mix of two or more counts. Caledonia and True Blue on consecutive days is a Hammock Coast package, and so is a week that plays all twelve. The planner spaces the rounds across your stay and keeps the group's tee times together.

Where you sleep

A resort between the marsh and the beach

The package is built around Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort on Ocean Highway at Pawleys Island, twenty miles south of Myrtle Beach and a short walk from the sand. Condos and resort rooms across the Summerhouse, Bridgewater and Seaside Inn buildings, with a heated indoor pool, outdoor pools and a lazy river, a poolside bar, a restaurant and a Starbucks on the property. River Club is a few minutes away and every course on the package is within about half an hour.

Pawleys Island is the old beach town at the south end of the Strand, with the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk and its seafood restaurants fifteen minutes up the road. If the group would rather sleep somewhere else in Murrells Inlet or Pawleys Island, ask and the planner will quote the same golf around it.

Pricing

What you pay and when

One quote for the trip

Rounds, room, tee times and taxes on a single price per golfer. Nothing is added at the counter and there are no platform fees.

$100 holds it

A $100 deposit per golfer confirms the whole package, and each golfer can pay their own share.

Balance 30 days out

Book more than a month ahead and the rest is not due until 30 days before you arrive.

Three ways to play it

Most booked

Two courses or more

The package starts at two rounds on two of the twelve courses with two or more nights at the resort, and the rate per round comes down once you are in. The more of the twelve you put on the list, the better the number per golfer.

Late start

Afternoon golf

Afternoon tee times on the Hammock Coast courses can carry a better rate than the morning. A slow start at the pool and a cheaper round after lunch, on the dates and courses where it applies.

Midweek

Early in the week

Rounds early in the week can be quoted lower than the weekend on the same courses. A group that can travel early in the week gets the quieter tee sheet and the better number together.

The number depends on the season, the courses, the room and how many are in the group, so there is no single sticker price. Send the dates and a head count and the quote comes back with everything on it, including which afternoon and early week rates apply on your dates. Other lengths of stay are quoted the same way.

Pick the week. We will hold the tee times.

Call (888) 796-4652 with rough dates and a head count, or build it online and a planner confirms every tee time before anything is charged.
