Rated as the area’s top course year after year, the TPC of Myrtle Beach golf course is simply impressive in every way. This Tom Fazio design opened in 1999 with Golf Digest honoring it as one of the top 20 courses in America and one of the top 10 in South Carolina.

It also consistently receives the magazine’s highest 5-star ranking and has been named one of the South’s top courses by Golf Magazine, Golf Digest and Golfweek. Measuring 6,950 yards with five sets of tees, the course features narrow fairways with wetlands and water features in play on 11 of its holes. Along with the wetland and formidable waste areas, long carries are required on a number of holes but escape routes are provided for players with higher handicaps. More than 70 bunkers protect large and medium-sized undulating greens.

If there were one word that best captures the Tournament Players Course it would be big; Some of the course’s greens are up to 50 yards deep and fairway drop-offs are so big that blind shots are required to get back to the fairway proper. Bunkers are not only big but also deep, very deep. It’s a course that doesn’t leave much room for mistakes with fairways that insist on accuracy and run-ups to greens makeable from only one side. Amenities include everything a golfer could desire.
