At just over 6,400 yards from the longest tees, this isn’t a course for long hitters but one that has received considerable praise from the national golf media, particularly with regard to the course’s attractiveness to women and senior golfers. But that doesn’t mean the Arnold Palmer designed Myrtle Beach National South Creek Golf Course is a pushover.

Only six holes at MBN Southcreek have water in play and while the greens are well guarded and on the smallish size, they aren’t overly difficult to reach. The course is relatively flat and winds through hardwood forests and wetlands.

There’s a good deal of mounding, however, so an uneven lie is not uncommon. The course amenities include a snack bar, beverage carts, lounge, bar, and a practice facility with a driving range and putting green.
