2014 Myrtle Beach Golf Course of the Year is…………….

The Myrtle Beach Area Golf Course Owners Association recently presented the Legends Golf Resort with the 2014 Golf Course of the Year award for their Moorland course at their July meeting. The award is given annually to a course that exemplifies excellent course quality, exceptional ownership and management, as well as significant contributions to the community and game.

The Moorland course has garnered impressive accolades since opening in 1990, beginning with being listed in “Top 5 New Courses” by Golf Digest in 1991, and most recently being named #6 on GolfWeek’s 2014 “Best Courses You Can Play” in the state of South Carolina.

The Moorland course is a part of the Legends Resort, owned and managed by Century Golf Partners and Arnold Palmer Golf Management out of Dallas, TX.  Century Golf Partners is one of the leading and most experienced companies in the golf industry.  Century’s business approach is to partner with communities to create successful golf courses and private clubs.
