About Oyster Bay Golf Links (Sunset Beach, NC)

Providing one of the Grand Strand’s most serene rounds of golf, Oyster Bay Golf Course’s accolades include being named resort course of the year and one of America’s best public courses by Golf Digest and one of best places to play in North Carolina by Golf Magazine.

With an innovative layout from golf course architect Dan Maples, the course requires an array of different shots in meeting the challenge of long holes, short holes, two-island green par 3s, freshwater lakes and wetlands that surround many holes. Steep, strategically located bunkers also present challenges.

The par-70 course plays a little less than 6,700 yards and while it’s a challenging course for players of any skill level, it’s also known for its incredible beauty. The area’s black and white oyster shells are used as design elements on many of the holes, coming into play on a few. And chances are, players will sight an alligator or two as well. The course features a driving range, pro shop, putting green, snack bar, lessons and more.

Cart paths were in terrible condition. No markings at the holes. No directions to where the next hole is. Can be very confusing for first time players at that course.

Course was good, would play again. BUT, WILL NEVER PLAY it again. Rangers were absolute A..holes. Threatening to force me to jump forward a hole when we were hole and a half ahead. Both rangers were d..cks from the start.
