Thirteen Grand Strand golf courses have been honored in Golfweek’s 2023 “Best Courses You Can Play” rankings for South Carolina and North Carolina.
The Dunes Golf & Beach Club, Caledonia Golf & Fish Club, and True Blue Golf Club earned three of South Carolina’s top five spots. Tidewater Golf Club, the Moorland Course at Legends Golf Resort, and TPC Myrtle Beach also made the top 10 in the state.
Other top-ranked South Carolina courses from the Myrtle Beach area include King’s North at Myrtle Beach National, The Heritage Club, the Dye Course at Barefoot Resort, Grande Dunes Resort Course, the Heathland Course at Legends Golf Resort, and the Fazio Course at Barefoot Resort.
In North Carolina, Thistle Golf Club returned to the rankings at number 10. The list was dominated by six courses from Pinehurst Resort taking spots in the top 20.
The strong showing highlights the Myrtle Beach area’s reputation as one of the premier golf destinations in the country, with layouts designed by top architects and ideal year-round playing conditions. Local courses continue to earn national recognition for their outstanding quality, playability, and value.
